Introducing Laura Pond, our exceptional Director of Licensing Services at DocStar Medical Partners, who brings over a decade of experience and dedication to her role. Laura’s journey into the world of licensing began twelve years ago when she was a fresh college graduate seeking her first real-world job. She found her niche in an entry-level licensing position within the locum tenens staffing industry—a term that was new to her at the time but quickly became a cornerstone of her career.
Coming from a family of healthcare professionals, Laura was naturally drawn to the industry but realized early on that the clinical side wasn’t for her. Instead, she found her passion on the administrative side, where she became a subject-matter expert in healthcare licensing. This expertise has since been the foundation of a thriving career, which led her to DocStar Medical Partners.
When asked what drew her to DocStar, Laura credits the company’s people, vision, and values. She had previously worked with our leaders Jared Corra and Paul Gagne and knew that they were the kind of people you want to work for. Their reputation, along with that of Nick Purvis and Keith Gershman, made joining DocStar an easy decision for Laura.
In her role as Director of Licensing Services, Laura finds immense fulfillment in helping healthcare facilities secure the necessary licenses for their providers. She takes pride in ensuring that these healthcare professionals, whose demanding schedules often leave little time for administrative tasks, can rely on her expertise to navigate the complex licensing process. Her dedication to providing top-tier service is matched only by her commitment to improving and expanding the licensing department at DocStar.
Outside of work, Laura is a devoted wife and mother who cherishes her time with her family. Whether she’s boating on Lake Winnipesaukee or relaxing at home, her happiest moments are spent with her husband Corey and their one-year-old son Cole.
